The Police Commission extended outdoor dining and roadway modifications for Elm Street on Feb. 17.Grace Duffield Hearst Connecticut Media /
Sunday morning, as the sun beamed down on Elm Street, tables at Rosie’s and Sole were busy even though temperatures were near freezing.
The Police Commission sees no reason for that to stop.
Outdoor dining and the roadway modifications to enable it will now continue another month according to a decision made at a virtual Zoom commission meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 17.
“I have seen people certainly sitting out on Elm Street and it seems to still be working on a nice sunny afternoon. I would be in favor of just rolling it another month,” commission Chairman Paul Foley said. “This is a continuation of our thirty-day roll.”
Britain s main stock index recouped early losses to end Wednesday higher, as gains in commodity-linked and banking stocks on investor optimism about a post-pandemic economic recovery outweighed. | March 1, 2021
